Slow vs fast, heavy vs light—these are some of the opposing qualities noticeable in contact improvisation jams, with stark preferences among dancers. Does it have to be this way though? Can thesis and antithesis create synthesis?

In this contact improvisation weekend intensive for dancers with some experience in the dance form, we will dance in the space between the seemingly antithetical ways of dancing CI—with fine delicacy and with athletic dynamism.
